About Us

The Frisco Garden Club is the city of Frisco, Texas's oldest active organization. We are a 501c3, not for profit organization that promotes the beautification of our great city!

Our Club's History

Since 1932, the FGC has participated in the beautification of many civic projects. Part of the Dallas Council of Garden Clubs DCGC, South Central Region, Texas Garden Clubs TGC, and National Garden Clubs, we are also a member of Frisco Chamber of Commerce FCoC and an honorary lifetime member of the Heritage Association.

The earliest Frisco Garden Club meetings took place in members' homes. Membership was limited to 30 members and dues started at twenty-five cents. In November 12, 1932, the Frisco Garden sponsored it's first flower show. In 1947 the Frisco Garden Club donated a war memorial urn to the city and began partnering with the local chapter of the VFW to sponsor Memorial Day Observances. We are actively maintaining projects and events throughout our community today.

Now, we have outgrown the homes of our membership and have even outgrown a couple of other venues. We are truly a "growing" club with a growing history. We invite anyone with a passion for plants to join us. We are a club of novices, experts, and "wanna-bes" alike. Our Wildflower Luncheon is our annual fundraising event that showcases our club members' talents for hosting such meetings in style!
